David Camp is a relative newcomer to dance, only wishes that he had started dancing many years ago.  "I can't think of a better way to stay young.  Thanks to all the teachers in the area that got me started.  My goal is that one day I'll dance the Charleston as well as Tim Jewett."

Secretary

Toni Edwards serves as secretary of the PSDS. She started swing dancing in 2002 after taking a class with Katie Brown. She is an avid reader and loves watching live theater productions and reality television.

President
Gary Holland has been dancing since 1998, and has been teaching locally since 2000. He is the current owner of The Swing of Things, husband of Rebecca, and father of Casey!  (Don't worry ladies, Casey will be leading before you know it!)

Treasurer

Tim Jewett has served on the PSDS Board of Directors since a few months after its inception and has served as Treasurer for the organization since June of 2000. He is an environmental engineer and has helped teach swing dancing in the past with Katie Brown and The Swing of Things. Tim's other hobbies include snow skiing, SCUBA diving, rock climbing, camping, and running.

Vice President

Marlana Kirk has been swing dancing for 3 years. She lives in Kernersville with her husband Sean and son Caleb. She works at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center as a Patient Representative.  She and her husband have recently started teaching Swing Dance in Kernersville.  She also enjoys cycling, reading and going to her son's soccer and baseball games.

Brook Martin is an accountant from Burlington, NC who drives all the way to Greensboro and Winston-Salem for our fabulous PSDS dances. Watch for his signature "chicken-wing" jump move!

Alan Morris is a testimony to the power of swing dance.  You see, Alan has a chronic case of "Caucasian'ism".  "Caucasian'ism" attaches itself to the dance gene in white males and has been known to destroy rhythm and crush self-esteem.  But thanks to persistence, the PSDS, and the wonderful local instructors in the Piedmont area, Alan has been swing dancing since 2007!

Billy Richardson started swing dancing with Joel Domoe in the first wave of swing dancers in Piedmont area. Billy is an avid amateur photographer and lucky for PSDS he likes to photograph swing dance events. Look for some of his work on the photos page.

Diana Smith got into Swing Dancing when her dance team in High School did a Swing Dance routine. One day a friend from her church invited her to go to the PSDS dance in Greensboro. She has been taking lessons dnd dancing ever since. A few of her favorite swing dance songs are Sing Sing Sing, See Ya Later Alligator, and Fever.
